MACC District Meeting MINUTES 9/12/08
*** The meeting was held at Spinnakers located in the Best Western in Radford, VA.
The meeting was called to order by the MACC Chair – Robbie Patton (CCHS)
Minutes – approved
Treasurer’s Report: 1) Balance as of 9/11/08 = $1,534.71 2) Commissioner’s payments are up-to-date 3) Reminder - MACC dues of $600.00 per school
IV. Commissioner’s Report: 1) Request for MACC Information Sheets concerning coaches and contact numbers
Old Business:
2009 Competition Dates – WESTern calendar approved (see website); EASTern calendar to be voted upon at the next meeting (10/24) There are 2 proposals for the EAST: the Commissioner’s proposal and the Trear proposal. The Commissioner’s proposal begins competition on Thurs., Jan.22 and ends on Mon. Feb. 23 with 2 make-up dates after that. The tournament would not be until Sat. Mar. 14 – that is a 3-week break from competition! Note - the beginning date is the 1st day back from semester break for the Montgomery Co. schools (4). The Trear proposal begins competition the following Mon. Jan.26 and ends on Mon. Mar. 9 with the make-up dates and the tournament date unchanged.
